The Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM) and Université Laval are pleased to announce the creation of a postdoctoral position for young mathematical scientists for the academic year 2024-2025.

The CRM-Laval postdoctoral fellowship is awarded to a promising researcher who has recently obtained or expect to obtain a Ph.D in the mathematical sciences, including in statistics. The fellowship offers an annual stipend of at least $40,000 CAD for one year, with possibility of renewal for a second year. This salary could be complemented by additional funds depending on the research team.

Additional remuneration may be available for a scholarship holder who demonstrates the ability to provide excellent teaching in French, if the department has teaching needs to fill.

The CRM and Université Laval are committed to taking into account the diversity and the systemic and individual barriers to access (for example, related to ethnic origin, gender, disability) when selecting visiting researchers.

Applications are welcome in all fields of research in which the professors at Université Laval are working.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a CRM-ISM postdoctoral fellowship, researchers must have obtained a Ph.D. after May 1st, 2020.

Please note that while it is not an eligibility requirement, preference will be given to candidates who are not currently registered at Université Laval.
